While wedding planners are readily available, no comprehensive academic text written for the purposes of preparing future event managers and wedding consultants is available. This book is proposed to fill a gap in the events management literature. Each chapter would include: an organized discussion of theory and practice, a Management in Action case study a Research Roundtable text a Weddings around the World cultural discussion and worksheets, checklists and additional resources. This is the first textbook on wedding consulting, with pedagogical features like introduction of theory, illustration through case studies, worksheets, checklists. It places wedding planning and management into a larger events management context. It provides practical resources and best practices for wedding consulting.
